Michael Webber
Managing Partner
Mike co-founded Armistead Street Partners in 2019, and has spent the past 15 years working in Energy, Renewables, Shipping, and Transportation finance at Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank, and Legg Mason. Mike also co-founded Webber Research, of which he’s Managing Partner.
Mike has been named to Institutional Investor’s (I.I.) All-America Research Team for the past 6 years, finishing as the #1 ranked Shipping & LNG analyst in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, & 2015, and part of the #1 ranked Natural Gas team in 2019. In 2020, Webber Research & Advisory became the only new platform to receive I.I. recognition (across any sector), finishing as Runner-Up.
He was named the sector’s best stock picker by the FT 2013, #2 in 2012, named in Business Insiders: Rising Stars Of Equity Research Under 35 in 2017, and is a NAMEPA award winner for his work in ESG. Mike graduated from the University of Virginia in 2004.
Greg Wasikowski
Associate Partner
Greg is an Associate Partner and Co-Founder of Webber Research & Advisory, with a focus on Renewables, Infrastructure, & Alternative Fuels. Greg helped lead Webber Research to a Runner-Up finish in Institutional Investor’s (I.I.) 2020 All-America Research Team, becoming the only new platform to receive ranked I.I. recognition across any of the survey’s +60 sectors. Prior to co-founding Webber Research & Advisory, Greg was a senior member of the #1 I.I. ranked Wells Fargo LNG, Shipping, & Equipment Leasing team in 2019, 2018, and 2017, with a focus on Energy Infrastructure & Shipping.
Greg began his career as an accounting consulting for RSM, a global leader in audit, tax and consulting services, where he focused on middle market, growth-focused organizations in the U.S. Greg was a student athlete at Bucknell University, where he majored in Accounting and Financial Management while also captaining Bucknell’s D1 baseball team. Greg is also a CFA Charterholder.
Chris Tsung
Associate
Chris has spent the past 3 years focused on LNG, Renewables, and Industrials in both consulting capacities and as part of Webber Research. Chris was an AVP at DWS in Strategic Planning & Analysis for their Alternatives platform. Prior to that, Chris spent 6-years at Deutsche Bank in their private equity group as a key member of the investment management team overseeing $4.9B in AUM.
Chris began his career with Citigroup in private equity fund administration. Chris is a graduate from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and holds the CFA designation.
Eric Smith
Director | Energy & EPC Risk Management
For the last 12+ years, Eric has focused his career in the EPC sector of the energy industry concentrating on large scale energy, LNG, and petrochemical projects. His experience includes leading the commercial efforts for petrochemical and LNG business lines for a global engineering and construction company, supporting the development of a Gulf Coast LNG liquefaction company, and negotiating commercial LNG sales agreements with global LNG buyers.
After graduating from high school, Eric joined the United States Air Force and worked as an intelligence analyst, where he served proudly for nine years. Four years into his military service, he was recruited to join the National Security Agency (NSA) to manage multiple intelligence gathering teams supporting Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan and Iraq). His contributions were recognized by the Director of the NSA and the Deputy Commander of the United States European Command.
Robert Meaney
Director | Engineering & Technology
Robert Meaney has spent the past 12 years of his career in the Government Infrastructure and O&G markets executing $30 billion in Capital Projects from conceptual design through construction. Robert has a deep expertise in process technology, project analysis, industry standards, and other toolsets to provide a value chain of resources from initial energy generation to end user.
Robert earned an engineering degree from Texas Tech University and has a diversified background in engineering, project management, business development. Using these skillsets, Robert leads Webber Research’s technical teams in the development of Renewable Energy Transition Roadmaps, development of technology, and helps connect new technology with industry users, technology partnerships or financial opportunities.
